The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan

4.0

I watched The Joy Luck Club long ago, and it stayed with me till these days.

✨️If you enjoy Mother-Daughter relationships, cultural differences, and family bonds, this book is for you.

✨️The book follows 4 daughters and 4 mothers; Chinese-born mothers who are trying to turn their children into their "best-selves" and American-born daughters who believe they are so different from their mothers.

✨️The aspect I enjoyed the most was the idea that - Regardless of cultural and generational isolation, the bond between mother and daughter can not be broken
