Broken (in the Best Possible Way) by Jenny Lawson

I love Jenny Lawson's writing. Sometimes it can be difficult to describe because it's so unique. Her stories are often of the madcap omg-what-is-happening variety, but then she will have a reflective story where she is contemplating life and it's written so beautifully. And then there are the stories about her mental and physical health issues, which she often injects humor into but are often sad and painful to read, even thought she usually tries to end each story on a positive note. I've read all of her other books, so the change of tone between stories doesn't bother me much and it's fairly easy from the chapter titles to tell which kind of story it's going to be. I always feel good after reading her books and I absolutely devour them. She's also a hoot reading her own books; you get the tone of what she is saying even from the writing, but it's especially funny hearing her say it.

I think if you're not sure if Jenny Lawson is for you, I'd suggest checking out her blog, The Bloggess. Many of the stories she shares there end up in her books so it'll give you a good idea if she's your kind of weird. She's definitely mine.
