A Rose for Emily and Other Stories by William Faulkner

2.0

Rating this book was hard for me, because I actually liked A Rose for Emily, and I also liked Turn About. Surprising to me, since I typically hate Faulkner. So those two stories alone would've gotten a higher rating, but the rest of them felt, as Faulkner typically does, like trying to walk through waist-deep mud. He uses way too many words (which is really saying something, because I'm pretty wordy myself), and his sentences are so long I just can't ever make sense of it. Good effort on my part trying to like him, but I think this was my last try. I know he's a literary great, but I just honestly *hate* his writing style.
