Four Blondes by Candace Bushnell

1.0

I am a big fan of the 'Sex and the City' TV series and I want to like this novel because of the author, but I struggled to engage. This was mainly due to the massive cultural differences, the woman in this book come from a social sphere I can't even imagine, and I'm not even sure I'd like to visit. I also didn't find any endearing traits in any of the characters and couldn't find any emotional connection to them, some of them are down-right b****s. While I recognise that the characters and setting is true to the New York scene that Bushnell is trying to paint it wasn't one I was able to appreciate as fully as perhaps it deserved.
