Welp, I’ve finished. And I’ve almost never been so conflicted over a damn series. There were so many times I thought I might gouge my eyes out, or refuse to continue. But then something would happen and suck me back in, albeit briefly. I initially thought Ethan’s story was a lot better, but it was just the first one. Ultimately though, I think Meghan is what makes this series subpar. The 17-ish year old faery human queen with her now 18 year old brother, who is actually 12 years younger, and her 17-ish year old son, and her centuries old 18-ish year old human winter fey husband. I keep thinking if they were written for an older audience with an older cast of characters it would be much better… but so many of the things are a direct result of impulsive impetuous teenagers. So there wouldn’t be an adult version I don’t think.

Kierran should’ve been put to death. Screw that guy for real. And Ethan for forgiving him.

Puck, Grimalkin, Wolf, Razor, Iron Horse (RIP EQUINE KING)… they’re the only ones worth a shit. Oh and Kenzie, I don’t think she ever got on my nerves. And of all the royalty.. Queen Mab stands alone as worthy.

One of my first observations I couldn’t let myself forget about:

Back to this time shit. If a month in Nevernever can be a year in the mortal world, how the fuck does an infant get age approximately 17-20 years in about 12 mortal years? So annoying.
