I loved this! I didn’t really know anything going into it and I was immediately entranced by the world. Every character was memorable and distinct, and their relationships were beautiful.
My only criticism was that Elizabeth seemed very capable with a sword despite having no depiction or mention of sword training in the book. I suppose it could be chalked up to her beinga child of the library and the powers that come along with it , but I still think it could have used some acknowledgement.
Otherwise I think this was exactly what it intended to be, and exactly what I wanted out of it. Excited to read the sequel novella next!
