Having two PoVs was a refreshing change from previous Farseer books! I can see how this book sets up the final trilogy nicely, there's a lot of "scene setting" and introduction of plots. Robin Hobb is an excellent writer - the character Shun made me want to scream with annoyance! Molly's death was heartbreaking for both Fitz and Bee and I was thinking about it for days. Ended on a cliffhanger and I am keen to see how the next books starts - straight continuation or time jump.
Graphic: Animal cruelty, Animal death, Death, Violence, Grief, Death of parent, and Pregnancy
