A Bride Worth Taking by Rebecca Connolly

4.0

Really enjoy this author! Her books are a fun escape into Regency England. I really like them because while there is plenty of romance, it's clean and the characters are enjoyable, but not cookie cutter. In this book, we finally get to see Kit get his happily ever after, but the road is a long and difficult one as the person he has loved for many years is Marianne Bray who is spoiled, egotistical, opinionated, and a handful (think Scarlet O'Hara - that's who I kept picturing as I was reading this). Kit is aloof and is determined not to get his heart broken again.

It's fun to see how the story plays out with two stubborn people trying to find happiness and forgiveness. I have loved this series and look forward to more books by this author!
