Ms. Marvel, Vol. 2: Generation Why by G. Willow Wilson

3.0

Lockjaw is ADORABLE. Who doesn't love a giant teleporting dog?

I like this run a lot but I do have some ✨issues✨. I'm not a fan of this art style at all but mostly the coloring is just ehhh. It's very muddy looking with the colors dimmed and after looking at the nice covers on the individual issues, I'm even more disappointed. It's just so ugly at times and sometimes people look weird as shit.

I loved the issue where Wolverine shows up and they work together. It was so funny and the highlight for me. Lockjaw being sent by Medusa to guide Kamala about how she is an Inhuman was also great.

Then we deal with the Inventor- the bird bad guy who is using teenagers as batteries. There is a lot to be said about this plotline because true, it wasn't the younger generation who fucked up the planet but oh my god her entire long ass speech. She just kept going and it felt so cheesy and too on the nose like damn. It's not giving what it wanted to give but that's just me.

Also I hate that the bad guy is a full ass bird for no reason like... okay.
