This was a fun book. It was a simple, sweet romance that was easy to read. I think there could have been a bit more character background, especially with Annabel and Layla, as I felt some things felt a little glossed over. Charles, however, we got to know about his family, but I'm still not sure how much I know about him personally. I am curious to see what else the author writes, and will probably pick the next book up, even with the notes about not feeling that I really understood the characters. It successfully met the romance criteria and it was pretty lighthearted overall.
