The Summer Seekers by Sarah Morgan

4.0

I told my brother that I’d read any book that he picked out for me at the bookstore so here we are.

The Summer Seekers by Sarah Morgan is a light contemporary book following three women — an 80-year-old seeking adventure once again in her life (Kathleen), her daughter who is going through a rough spot in her marriage (Liza), and a woman in her 20s who is trying to escape her stagnated life (Martha) — who get looped together when Kathleen decides to take a road trip across Route 66. Martha gets hired to drive her and what commences is a journey of self-discovery. This book was cute! It was very much a feel good read where not too much happened, but the writing was good. The author makes each woman’s voice very distinct which made reading this book easy. I think this would be a good beach read for those who are going to have lounging time this summer.
