Capitalist Realism: Is There No Alternative? by Mark Fisher

2.0

This was a peculiar book. It had some good elements, such as Fisher discussing interesting theories from Foucault, Zizek, and others, but that was also what I found problematic. Fisher wrote an 80-page book, but spent a considerable amount of time discussing theories and ideas from other authors, and there was little new information from his own perspective. What he presented himself came across as somewhat bitter, particularly his views on how young people nowadays are too dependent on phones, etc., which I agree with, but the way he presented it was somewhat strange.
