This was a 5 star read for the first 2/3 or so. However, it started to lose me when the big revelation just took too long. I figured it out early on (I don’t say that as a brag bc it was obvi). The reveal seriously happened in the last thirty minutes and then just wrapped up in a fast but tidy bow. So I’m rating down a whole star for that.
You do not need to have read the first to read this. I don’t remember the first much at all, but I’m not even sure there is character crossover. Idk
Really enjoy this overall and would absolutely read the next. Hopefully, the next one can get the full 5 stars because these definitely have the potential.
