How does Ashley Herring Blake write the best characters and get you so emotionally invested in such a short amount of time? Brighton and Charlotte are two characters that I could see myself being friends with, also rooting for them to be together the entire time.

While I'm usually pretty picky about second chance romances because most of the time communication is the issue, this book is the exception. I totally understood why Brighton did what she did. I was able to sympathize with her while also understanding why Charlotte gave her the cold shoulder when they finally were reunited.

This book was raw and emotional, but also super funny and relatable.
