Threads of Life: A History of the World Through the Eye of a Needle by Clare Hunter

3.0

I'm in awe of the author's knowledge - she knows so much about a massive collection of sewing history. However, that makes the book overwhelming and at times hard to follow. It took me over a year to read - a few paragraphs about this artist and moment in time, bit by bit. Maybe that was her goal as in a way it is an echo of the sewing experience.
