Overall, I really enjoyed this book and flew through it. The writing in particular really hit the spot for me.
I acknowledge that there wasn't much nuance with male characters (most were portrayed as almost comically evil) and there were bits regarding the "family line" aspect of the story that made me uncomfortable. That being said, I understood why it was a big part of the story and I appreciated the way it bolstered the sisterhood/motherhood and earthy witch magic elements. The magically aided catharsis in this book worked well for me, and I loved the way the three stories mingled together. 4.5 stars.
