Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson

dark lighthearted mysterious slow-paced

This is book is such a mix of what I expected and not at all what i expected. The style is so much fun because he'll tell you facts but you still won't put it all together. He's so open and straight forward in such a twisted way, it's so fun. The beginning was slow so it took me a long time to get into it but the end was entertaining idk
I should have known I would enjoy this book. After all, it's in a series of 3 but the 3rd won't be released for a month or two, and the MCs are protagonists who also have killed people, and the narrator is very straightforward but there are still twists you don't see coming. It's like the Swanson phase all over again. I don't think you understand, I'm obsessed.
The style is fun, the humor is fun, the relationships are fun, the twists are fun
I actually looked up the author to see if it was a woman. The bar should not be this low for men. Yay on earnest and his respect for women, and yay on Stevenson for writing women in a reasonable way and not making a woman vomit to suggest that she's pregnant.
(low-key I'm still a little confused on OG motive)
