Change of Heart by Jennifer Moore

4.0

I absolutely loved the characters in this one. Val is clearly a girl who's had a rough life living in rural West Virgina, you can hear it in her voice and see it in her character. Yet the determination that keeps her moving forward is so real and explains so much of her behavior and thoughts. Nathaniel is exactly what you would expect from a wealthy lawyer who is driven to succeed in work. Yet he has a deeper side that has been wounded and scarred which make him incredibly believable.

This is also fast read. The language is easy to grasp, and the plot moves along with a great clip. It is sweet and reads like a classic romantic comedy come to life. It is almost as if you could be sitting with one of these characters as they share their story with you.

There were only some minor issues I had with the book, mostly surrounding the lack of scenes with the children that Val was a nanny for... I was hoping for more I guess... Please consider stopping by Reading List to see my full review.
