A collection of short stories usually have its ups and downs, and you could argue that the shorter ones in here doesn’t really have the time to create the same feeling of suspense and magic realism as the longer ones, but the LANGUAGE. The descriptions, the metaphors and the formulations are impeccable. It’s alive, yet suggestive. It’s beautiful, yet sad.
