Lost in the Never Woods by Aiden Thomas

2.0

So much potential wasted. It’s a good plot idea and I liked Peter and Wendy and their moments together were cute but it took a while for the plot to actually move. For most of the book they were just like “we need to get the kids back and stop the shadows, but we don’t know how”.

The writing also felt a bit childish at times and I know it’s based on a fairy tale but it’s meant to be a ya retelling. Also still not really sure how the shadow managed to free itself and wtf that had to do with Wendy. Like I get her being alive in Netherland would disrupt things but it didn’t really explain how?

The last quarter was defiantly the best part of the book.
