The End of Eternity by Isaac Asimov

5.0

Book 11 of 40 for the 2015 Reading Challenge

One of the things I wanted to accomplish this year with attempting to read 40 books this year was to read some classic authors I had not read before or some of their other works that I had not read yet.

When it comes to Science Fiction Isaac Asimov is one the founding fathers of many of the ideas that todays science fiction originate from. I have read I Robot but wanted to also read some of his earlier works.

The End of Eternity was written in 1955 and can be seen as one of the first time travel stories when we talk about temporal incursions and paradoxes. All of which we have seen revisited in Back to the Future and the Star Trek universe numerous times.

The characters are excellent and has a great pace and there are a few surprises along the way that make the story enjoyable.

I’m looking forward to next picking up Pebble In the Sky…
