Blood Stain, Vol. 1 by Linda Šejić
3.0
Ely has been unsuccessful in getting a full-time job even though she has a degree, two years since she graduated. Her sister accused her of being a free-loader, even though she tried working menial jobs, which she failed at miserably. After working hard and getting the hang of being a server at a restaurant for two months, her boss decided to let her go due to bad business.
As a last resort, she dropped everything and flew out with minutes to spare to take up a job as an assistant to Dr. Vlad Stein aka The Mad Scientist.
This volume started of great, however I had a hard time deciphering what Dr. Stein is saying in his bubbles. Not sure whether it's just me, or the thin white font against the black bubble is giving me a headache.
Lots of extras and bonus content which I appreciate but I thought those are kinda spoiler-ish as they include panels to future volumes.
Special thanks to NetGalley, for providing a free e-copy from the publisher, in return for an honest review.
