while it has been foreshadowed for long enough, the way that when it happens it hurts you no less than had you not known just shows how much i’ve started liking and connecting with these characters. sai’s disappearance was, at least to me, very much real. it felt like a reflection on life. things enter and exit your life yet while they leave such a huge dent on you, in the real world everything seems to just go on and never stops going on. the regrets and the bittersweet memories is what sai has left him and i hope hikaru can realize how to grow into a person sai has seen in him.
