This is not your typical MC romance. This club doesn’t run extensive criminal operations. Other than their hobby of executing the world’s worst sinners, they’re practically saints.
The FMC comes from a traumatic background and is on the run to escape an abusive situation, when she stumbles upon the Heaven’s Guardians MC. Club President, Priest, is drawn to her immediately.
I liked the characters of this book. The FMC was a little too much damsel in distress, I wish she’d had a bit more feistiness or sass, to balance the traumatic neediness that I enjoy. But she was still likable. MMC, Priest, is intense in his immediate love for her, to the point where I thought it might turn paranormal and she would be his fated mate. It kind of went that route, but without the paranormal. The god/religion angle of the book was a bit weird for me, but it worked for the story.
Overall, I liked that it was a MC romance but because they weren’t like other MCs, I didn’t have to feel guilty rooting for the relationship, as he wasn’t very villainous. That was nice.
