I wanted to like this and after the 200 page mark the book was much better which is why I’m giving it a 2 instead of a 1 star buy it just felt way too long and there didn’t seem to be any basis for the characters falling in love except sex. There was very little talking or any sort of emotional connection that was believable. The pacing was off and overall this felt like a slog to get through. Sad because I really wanted to love this after hearing so much about it.
