Big Nate Goes for Broke by Lincoln Peirce

4.0

Big Nate, book four.

Nate comes up with the idea for the coolest after school club ever--the Doodlers. Finally, there is a place where Nate can draw without getting detention! When the club advisor suggests recruiting some girls for the club, Nate balks, but eventually ends up inviting drama queen Dee Dee. This could end up being either the best, or worst, decision of his life.

When P.S. 38 is flooded, Nate and his friends are all set for an extended vacation. Sadly, instead of a vacation, they have to attend their sister school, Jefferson. The two schools are bitter rivals (Jefferson always wins--and rubs it in) and Nate is determined to bring glory to P.S. 38 by beating Jefferson at SOMETHING.

Recommended for fans of Calvin and Hobbes and Wimpy Kid.
