Overthrow: America's Century of Regime Change from Hawaii to Iraq by Stephen Kinzer

4.0

a well organized, abridged history of american regime change. doesn't mince words about the true motivation underlying these endeavors (hint: it's not to promote democratic values), nor does it skimp on the actual human toll driven by them. pretty much an essential text for Knowing What You're Talking About if, like me, you have only a vague understanding of america's foreign policy record without much historical context.
