The Cartoon Introduction to Philosophy by Michael F. Patton, Kevin Cannon

4.0

A wildly entertaining, brilliantly executed, humorous shortcut through the land of philosophy. What I love the most about this book was its intent to make this field look fascinating to people who might otherwise not even give it a second thought. As a visual person I really benefitted from having personalities (even crack ones) attached to all the many names that populate the field. Kudos to Patton and Cannon for weaving engaging plot in the background too; the story-lover in me found some moments pretty ingenious, hilarious, and even illustrative of the points being conveyed. It could definitely use less bias against the concept of God, though, but all in all, I really loved the whole thing.
