I find it surprising when I read a book from a gay girl’s perspective and it manages to accurately portray the feeling of yearning and a constant state of self doubt that we tend to go through before starting a new relationship. People whitin the lgbtq+ community love to joke about how lesbians move too fast but I’ve experienced it to be the complete opposite. Sometimes it’s a slow paced wait at the beginning, and this book shows exactly that. In regard to the time travel aspect of it, I didn’t think I was gonna enjoy it since I’m not a big fan of that troupe but its seamlessly included in the storyline. I think it was a really good book, very real emotion-wise.
