Husband and Wife by Leah Stewart

3.0

I finished this book relatively quickly, but not because I couldn't put it down. While the storyline began well, and the characters were interesting and well-written I was just not drawn into Sarah's story. I initially sympathized, but quickly became impatient with the apparent wishy- washy approach to either resolve the issue with Nathan or to truly discover the person she was meant to be at that point in time. Even her foray into the past did not seem particularly revealing, nor enough to draw one back. I felt that the characters neither grew nor truly discovered things about themselves despite that being the premise of the story. A story that held great promise, and writing that was very good still fell flat to me for some reason, but I cannot truly point out why.
