The Seventh Bride by T. Kingfisher

3.0

I have been wanting to ingest a T. Kingfisher novel for a while now but am not a huge fan of horror novels (which is what she is most known for). However, she does write books that are fantasy/creepy/not horror. ;) The Seventh Bride was definitely a good time while reading and Kingfisher has a style that reminds me of Seanan McGuire. This book was on the shorter side and had some nice world building. The things that lowered my ranking were a lack of character development, loose ends, and uniqueness of the story. Overall, I enjoyed this book and will pick up more of Kingfisher’s non-horror books.

Would I Recommend:
Yes, I would recommend this to fans of:
- Every Heart a Doorway, By: Seanan McGuire
- YA Fantasy

Content Warning: gore, narcissistic and sociopathic behavior, child bride
