The Plan by Karla Sorensen

4.0

This was a really good read! This is the first book I’ve read of Sorensen’s and while it isn’t your typical sports romance it is enjoyable nevertheless. This is a grumpy/sunshine, ex-football player turned bodyguard, fake relationship, age-gap romance.

I loved the dimension to Lydia’s character, how she wasn’t the typical social media celebrity that one would perceive and there was actual substance to her character. Erik on the other hand had a bit of mystery surrounding his past, but when it came to Lydia he was mush. I absolutely loved the two of them together. Their chemistry, banter, the steamy scenes, and the circumstances surrounding their relationship were amazing and I enjoyed seeing their relationship develop as this was a bit of a slow-burn. I did feel however, that the romance got lost in the book with everything else happening.

All in all, this was a great read and I look forward to reading more by Karla Sorensen.
