This was such a different romance. it wasn't the most fun, but i feel like it's one i'll remember for even longer.

eva mercy suffers from migraines, and they're described so well (i say as someone who also gets migraines). it was nice to read about chronic pain in a romance - it was just another facet of her character, and it was important to how she interacted with the world.

shane is the bad boy from eva's past who returns when she's least prepared. or how could she ever really prepare. i just loved them together. they were funny, especially how shane interacted with eva's daughter. i wanted them to succeed. i wanted them to work through their respective issues and move forward together.

their teenage years were difficult to read. they had gone through so much before they inadvertently tore each other's lives apart. but  what they were meant so much to who they are now and how much they mattered to each other then just made it that much more important they ended up together. i'm so happy they did
