An Incomplete Revenge by Jacqueline Winspear

3.0

This 5th book in the Maisie Dobbs series really leaned into the psychic/mystical side of Maisie's detection skills. That had been hinted at in previous books, but also before now could have been explained as deep intuition and empathy, which I would have MUCH preferred. This book also revealed that she get this ability from her gypsy grandmother, which feels rather exoticizing, appropriative, and overall cringey. It was a pretty good mystery despite that, but I think that I may have had enough of this series.
