In a not so distant future, Paris, Lila is looking for her mother, from which she was separated in early childhood. The very institution that is raising and educating her, is also watching her every move and withholding any information regarding to Lila's past. A story of resilience and mother-child relationship in a 1984-esque world.

A very unique book that manages to weave two threads, Lila's life story and quest for her mother along with the dystopian world she lives in, flawlessly together. This is my second read but still as captivating (I read it within a single day).
