This book was set by my book club, it’s not something I would pick up to read. Jumping to when I finished it, I have a new love for this writing style. It’s unique, I’ve never read anything like it, and it has so many layers within it. Gliding through the book may make the reader a bit unsatisfied, but on the flip side if you would like to uncover themes in the book (I found
obsession being a big one, as well as the friction between love and hate for Camilo
you can see links between the past and present. It makes the book quite beautiful, as you begin to feel as if you’re reading the main characters novel, and think his thoughts.
