Indigo Eyes by Maeve Hazel

I was lucky enough to have been sent an ARC, and I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity because this was a fantastic book!

It had me giggling, it had me blushing, then it had me crying. I honestly could not have predicted any part of the story, so many things took me by surprise, especially the major plot twist 3/4 through the book. I was sobbing, I didn’t see it coming and it broke me.

I really enjoyed this book, I love grumpy sunshine but I especially love it more when it’s the girl who’s grumpy and the guy who’s the sunshine.

Indigo is a sarcastic, gloomy girl who considers herself an outcast. She’s been through some traumatic shit with her family (her parents are awful) and she befriends a young girl called Olivia (who is an adorable ray of sunshine). She begins fake dating Elias, Olivia’s brother, and the dynamic between them two is comical and heart warming. He brought her out of her shell and their relationship developed into something so adorable.

Loved it! Can’t wait for more of Maeve’s books!
