Green Light by Lark Taylor is the second book in the Caffeine Dreams series. This MM rockstar, bi awakening, best friends to lovers romance story is about Kai and Silas.
Kai and Silas have been best friends since they were kids. They didn't grow up in the best of neighborhoods, and they both had struggles they faced. Thank goodness they had each other to lean on and were there for one another no matter what. Kai has been in love with Silas for decades, but has kept it to himself. He truly has suffered in silence. It isn't until the last concert of their tour when a moment on stage changes everything. Kai distances himself and completely ghosts Silas. It leaves Silas confused and hurt, but it also makes him take a look at their friendship. He starts questioning his feelings for Kai along with his sexuality.
The pining, pain and hurt broke my heart, and I just kept rooting for them to figure it out. Kai and Silas were perfect for each other. Such a beautiful couple and an amazing story. I loved how it was different from the first book, but you find yourself invested in these characters just as much as you did with White Noise. I cannot wait for Arlo's story next!
