The Boy Who Granted Dreams by Luca Di Fulvio

4.0

Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for this read!!

My experience with translated books has usually been that there is an obvious disconnect- a loss of something in the translation. The Boy Who Granted Dreams was so well done that I would have never know that this wasn't written by an American in English. The story line and characters were so rich and vivid. There was such a mixture of lightness and darkness that there was a real honesty to the text. At times the plot did get a little tedious and there were a few too many happily-ever-after/unrealistic successes for characters, but I loved the novel and characters far too much to care. Lovely, lovely novel.
