The Miracles of the Namiya General Store by Keigo Higashino
5.0
When I decided to read this book, I think I expected something different to what I ended up reading. I can't tell you exactly what I expected, but what I got was so much better, magical and special.
The book is in essence a series of short stories about different people, with different lives, and different challenges that are all linked by one thing, creating a large story. Each of the stories is beautifully crafted, poignant and relatable, often some what bittersweet.
I can't even tell you how much I love this book, and nothing I write will give it the justice that it deserves. There is something truly special when a book can make you ache, and cry for characters you don't even know, and this is definitely one of those books.
This book deserves much more recognition than it has already, and I am a little sad about what maybe missing in translation, but I am so glad I found it and read it.
