Not Without My Daughter by Betty Mahmoody

4.0

i liked it very very much. i read it during a trip to egypt and it kept me very entertained while I was on the plane. a lot of scenes gave me chills, just imagining what this girls had to endure saddens me a lot. I'm so glad when they finally escaped, which I knew it would happen bc i saw the movie years ago. i don't remember a lot of it, and i want to rewatch it now that I've read the book. I've learned a lot about iran and the islamic religion, I'm happy for having read it. very interesting, and betty narrates her story so good.
