Scott Pilgrim Gets It TogetherĀ is the first volume in the series where its potential comes to full fruition. In addition to a fun villain, hints at bigger elements coming up (Nega Scott, Gideon), and some interesting new characters, we see Scott grow here. And grow he does. A lot of this volume is Scott figuring out how to be an adult (getting a job, learning to love, navigating his past), which is charming, challenging, and meaningful. We get an increasing sense that while Scott may not he have evil exes, his past is nuanced and haunts him. This volume has stuck in my head.
