This one was up and down and in and out and made me feel like I was falling down the rabbit hole after Alice herself. While I highly recommend the audio recording of Nocte, I recommend reading this installment. It's deeper and twister and just a touch darker than part one.
My only criticism is the repetition of "I want to tell you but I can't." It got old. So old that it was annoying and if I had to see it once more I may not have finished the book. Luckily the mystery behind it was intriguing enough that I wanted to finish regardless. It does have a touch of second book syndrome but if things follow suit, book three will redeem everything.
