The War of Miracles by Jessie Vallée

Did not finish book. Stopped at 4%.

I received this book as an ARC from the author. With arcs as a general rule I try to read at least 50 pages before deciding if it is worth finishing, but with this one I just couldn’t make it that far. The premise of this book was promising, (mc is “Gifted” with ice powers and goes to an “Institute” to train) but the execution is just not well done. I would honestly probably enjoy this book if a HUGE edit was done to fix the many grammar and practical mistakes. I encourage the author to keep writing for more practice and do some heavy editing.
