Enter Whining by Fran Drescher

funny lighthearted fast-paced

3.25

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, but it was just so poorly written. Maybe it would have been better on audio because Fran definitely writes as she speaks, which is a lot of fun, but honestly sometimes the sentences just made no sense.

That said, I had such a blast reading about Fran and Peter's relationship, their early days in Hollywood, and the origins of The Nanny, which is a show I need to rewatch soon! The pictures were such a wonderful addition (so maybe I take back my suggestion to listen to this on audio), and this lighthearted read was such a romp.

Also, I love Fran Drescher's shameless Jewish identity. Even as she eats endless quantities of shrimp, she references her stereotypical Jewish mother and her own stereotypical tendencies, and it cracked me up.
