This is a fun roommates to lovers novel adding in the twist that one of them is a vampire!

Cassie is a starving artist living in Chicago, so when she's stayed too long with her friend and sees a room for rent for only $200/month, she can't pass up the opportunity. No matter how eccentric the owner may be. After living with Fredrick J. Fitzwilliam for a while, Cassie starts to notice some even more unusual things about her roommate besides his broad chest and handsome face. Finally, Fredrick tells Cassie his secret and asks for her help blending into modern society. Over time, Cassie finds Frederick to be refreshing and someone who truly cares for her. So what if he's a vampire?

I honestly could've used more of Cassie's and Fredrick's escapades around Chicago as she helps him become acquainted with the 21st century. I loved Fredrick's idiosyncrasies and how much Cassie loved them, too. Also, as a native Illinoisan, the fact that the way the author made fun of Naperville to be top-tier comedy.

If you go into this knowing it's more about the relationship than the plot, I think you'll have a fun time! I could've used a little bit more of their relationship, but I overall enjoyed this novel.
