I think I need to take a break from Lauren Blakely books. They're pretty, delicious froth - just like the top of a fancy cappuccino - with absolutely no substance. Good for the right moment, but not so good back-to-back (or within the same week).

Sadly, I think this book of hers is frothier than most. It seems to have been developed from two different ideas, neither of which was strong enough on its own. 1) heroine who can't achieve orgasms when with a man, 2) 'untouchable' daughter of his boss/business partner. Number 1 has certainly been done before and number 2 is a non-issue. All I kept thinking was, 'you're a grownup. Tell him you want to date his daughter.' Sheesh.

The fun part of the audiobook was listening to Jason Clarke singing! (And a few lines from Andi Arndt.)

Hogwarts Sorting Hat? That's tough when the characters aren't well developed. They're pretty and earnest and perfect... but all Blakely characters are like that. I'm going to put them both in Hufflepuff because they're not particularly brave, smart, or ambitious.
