Drums of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon

3.0

4th in the Outlander Series. Claire and Jamie's episodic adventures have now taken them to the backwoods of colonial North Carolina. While Gabaldon's writing is very good and I enjoyed the book, I found it less original than the others as she fell back on some romance genre cliches she had previously avoided. I also enjoy the books less when the focus is on other characters rather than Claire and Jamie, although I understand this is necessary as the books go on. Still, an enjoyable read and a few of the time travel reveals were shocking.
