I enjoyed this waaaaay more than I anticipated.  I became very invested in the characters, and I found the portrayal of grief very relatable.  I loved the summer vibes of the Muskoka setting (IYKYK), and the shout outs to various Toronto neighbourhoods.  There is nothing particularly groundbreaking in this novel, I just found this book very absorbing and unexpectedly affecting.  The Author's Note at the end is a must-read (but contains spoilers!).  Shortlisted for Canada Reads 2024.
