This one started off slow, but once it got going, it was quite intense at times - especially considering that there were no battles or even a mystery to be solved. I stayed up way too late last night reading because I needed to reach some resolution after a certain part before I could sleep, and then I read the rest today in a rush. The last 1/4 was quite a ride, with moments where I literally laughed out loud as well as some that were just immensely satisfying. It was fun to have so many different perspectives this time, though I did frequently want to shake some sense into Ivan. Also, apparently I’m going to have to get used to Galeni now being pronounced Ga-lee-nee by the narrator- it wasn’t just a fluke last book - after having the narrator call him Ga-len-eye in all of the previous books. Sigh.
